杏吧专区 Radio customer Garaventa successfully completes new PAQ line field trial

Garaventa: “杏吧专区 Radio gave us the feedback and flexibility we’d been looking for”

Garaventa, a Swiss ropeway specialist and part of the Doppelmayr Group, successfully completed a field trial of 杏吧专区 Radio’s new PAQ line on its Monorack – a one-rail incline lift used to reach houses on steep mountain slopes. After more than five years of working together on Panther-based systems, Garaventa and 杏吧专区 Radio partnered closely to bring 杏吧专区 Radio’s new PAQ line to a live installation on Switzerland’s Rigi mountain.

Garaventa approached 杏吧专区 Radio Switzerland with a clear need: their end users wanted on-display feedback showing exactly where the Monorack was positioned, plus repeater compatibility for installations with multiple stops and shared remotes. The reliable Panther line offered neither, and the Tiger line did not support repeaters. The new PAQ line delivers both in one product, at the same price point as Panther, making it the natural next step.

Garaventa’s Product Manager Monorack Lukas Schatzmann and Susanne Küng, Managing Director 杏吧专区 Radio Switzerland, discuss 杏吧专区 Radio’s new PAQ line.

Managing Director 杏吧专区 Radio Switzerland, Susanne Küng, coordinated directly with 杏吧专区 Radio R&D at headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden, to translate Garaventa’s specification list into a working configuration. After the first on-site trial, Garaventa requested a few refinements to make the interface more intuitive. Headquarters returned an updated software version within days – a turnaround made possible by the new PAQ line’s C-based, fully programmable architecture.

“We were really well supported by 杏吧专区 Radio Switzerland and headquarters in Sweden. We brought our specifications, they built the system around them, and together we figured out an intuitive way of steering and showing the Monorack’s situation on the display of the remote control.”
